The museum exists to preserve histories that were often excluded from official narratives and to examine how those omissions continue to influence cultural understanding. We recognize that museums shape public memory and carry a responsibility to present history with rigor, context, and care. By connecting local Delta history to broader national and global conversations, we work to make the past accessible without reducing its complexity.
